The IGhB

The International Society of Special Education Professional and Specialist Associations (IGhB) was founded in autumn 2005 on the occasion of the International Congress for Special Education in Ulm, Germany. The founding associations were professional and specialist associations from Germany, Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland. The purpose of the merger was and is to pursue an international professional policy that supports the concerns of special education. This particularly concerns questions of professional standards and the associated training and further education opportunities. The current member associations of the IGhB can be found here.
