Invitation to European Learning Lab: Online Kick-off “Participation in Working Life”

Invitation to European Learning Lab: Online Kick-off “Participation in Working Life”

IGHB and BHP are launching a new European exchange format for professionals in special education, inclusive education, social services, and related disciplines. The aim of the European Learning Lab (ELL) series is to bring together international perspectives, discuss current challenges, and learn from one another — across borders and in a practical way.

The series opens with the online kick-off event “Participation in Working Life”, which brings together European perspectives from the United Kingdom and Austria. The central focus is on how participation in working life can be sustainably designed for people with support needs.

Event Content

Each session of the European Learning Lab brings together experts from at least two European countries. Professional input is complemented by a moderated, interactive exchange in which different professional approaches are discussed. The kick-off event focuses on:

  • Participation in working life
  • European perspectives from the United Kingdom and Austria
  • Exchange on challenges and solutions in inclusive employment

Speakers

Laura Davis (United Kingdom) – British Association for Supported Employment (BASE). Long-standing expert in inclusive employment and CEO of BASE.

Franz Wolfmayr (Austria) – Zentrum für Sozialwirtschaft GmbH, Graz. Consultant and contributor to shaping European frameworks for vocational participation of people with disabilities.
